Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to all attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, service providers, and participants attending or participating in the MacDay 2026 events (“MacDay”), hosted by Macadamias South Africa NPC (SAMAC).
  2. By registering for, attending, sponsoring, exhibiting at, or participating in MacDay, all parties agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
  3. SAMAC reserves the right to:
  • amend the programme, speakers, venues, schedules, or event format;
  • postpone or relocate any event;
  • substitute speakers or sessions where necessary;
  • limit attendance based on venue capacity, safety, or operational requirements.
  1. SAMAC shall not be liable for any costs incurred by attendees due to programme or venue changes.
  2. All attendees must complete the official registration process prior to attending the event.
  3. Tickets are non-transferable unless approved in writing by SAMAC.
  4. All attendees are required to present their official event ticket, confirmation email, QR code, or proof of registration upon arrival and prior to entry to the venue. SAMAC reserves the right to deny access where valid proof of registration cannot be provided.
  5. SAMAC reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who:
    • behaves in a disruptive, unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate manner;
    • damages venue property;
    • fails to comply with venue rules, health and safety requirements, or event instructions.
  6. No refunds for attendee cancellations.
  7. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.
  8. SAMAC will process personal information in accordance with applicable South African legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”). Information collected may be used for:
    • event administration;
    • communication regarding the event;
    • attendance verification;
    • industry reporting and related SAMAC activities.
  9. SAMAC will take reasonable measures to protect personal information but cannot guarantee absolute security of electronic communications.
  10. All attendees must comply with venue safety requirements, emergency procedures and health and safety instructions issued by SAMAC or venue representatives.
  11. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
    • attendance and participation at MacDay are at the attendee’s own risk;
    • SAMAC, its directors, employees, contractors, sponsors, and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, theft, delay, cancellation, or expense arising from participation in the event;
    • SAMAC shall not be responsible for travel, accommodation, or related costs incurred by attendees.
  12. SAMAC shall not be liable for any delay, cancellation, disruption, or failure arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
    • severe weather;
    • natural disasters;
    • power outages;
    • government restrictions;
    • pandemics;
    • civil unrest;
    • venue unavailability;
    • technical failures.
  13. All event content, presentations, branding, logos, materials, recordings, and intellectual property remain the property of SAMAC or the respective content owners unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  14. No recording, reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of event content may occur without prior written permission from SAMAC.
  15. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
  16. SAMAC reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions may be published on official event communication platforms or registration portals.

Media Release & Consent Policy for MacDay

As part of our commitment to celebrating and promoting the macadamia industry, Macadamias South African (SAMAC NPC) will be capturing photos and video footage throughout the Mac Day event.
 
By registering for this event, you acknowledge and consent to the following:
  • You may be photographed, filmed, or recorded by the official SAMAC NPC media team and/or appointed service providers.
  • These materials may be used in SAMAC NPC’s post-event marketing, including (but not limited to) social media, printed publications, digital newsletters, promotional videos, and website content.
  • All photos and recordings will be used in a respectful and professional manner, with the intention of showcasing the event, its participants, and the South African macadamia industry.
  • SAMAC NPC will not use media content for commercial resale or share personally identifiable information without your permission.
 
If you do not consent to your image being used, please contact the event organizers directly prior to the event at mac-conference2026@samac.org.za so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
