In response to current pressures and the need for more practical, accessible engagement, this year’s event moves away from a single central conference to a regional format: MacDay on the Road.

MacDay is SAMAC’s flagship platform for industry engagement. It brings together growers, handlers, researchers, and stakeholders to share insights, unpack data, and align on the priorities shaping the future of the South African macadamia industry.

The 2026 programme is grounded in two core objectives:

• Addressing current realities – providing practical insight into production challenges, market conditions, and industry dynamics
• Strengthening industry alignment — ensuring growers are informed, engaged, and part of key discussions, including levy renewal and market development strategies

At its core, MacDay 2026 is about connection, between regions, between growers, and between on-farm realities and global market positioning.
